The MB671IK is the first introduction to Icy Dock’s internal screwless SAS enclosure. Like its other MB671 predecessors, it provides the same tray-less, easy hard drive access and hot-swap capabilities with provided Serial Attached SCSI (SCS) circuit-board. The enclosure is built spacious enough to fit any 3.5” SATA or SAS brand hard drive. It has a stylish faceplate exterior that ventilates heat and a door-handle is hinged into flexibility in order to prevent someone from pulling the door apart. The body is built by a steel metal finish to create a cooling environment for the hard drive. It also offers greater security by having an access key lock. In addition to its fast read/write data access, the MB671IK also offers stability to your systems by keeping your hard drives cool with a cooling fan. This new enclosure is convenient to many of those who have no prior computer experience since it’s easy to swap hard drives without any tools. It’s perfect for users that never have enough space on their computer and doesn’t want to add more drives in their systems. Because we are committed to offer our customers with the latest storage solutions, ICY DOCK is once again one of the first manufacturers to offer a tray-less removable enclosure for SAS hard drives.

Product Supports

* In order to HOT-SWAP with ICY DOCK enclosures, please make sure your motherboard supports HOT-SWAP function. Otherwise, you might not able to use the HOT-SWAP function. (Please check the motherboard user manual to verify the HOT-SWAP function)

* When using the enclosure, if the drive doesn’t show in “My Computer”, there might be two issues.

1. You are probably using a brand new hard drive. You can initialize, partition, and format unrecognized drives using Disk Management.

2. Your drive letter may be over lab with other drive by the system. Please go to the Disk Management and go “Change Drive Letter and Paths…” and select another letter for the drive.
