The drive trays of CP121 feature tool-less drive installation for easy drive maintenance and adapts EDSFF E1.S SSD (5.9mm/8.01mm) or M.2 NVMe SSD (2230/2242/2260/2280/22110), giving you the maximum flexibility to choose the drives. Furthermore, both types of SSD can be installed and accessed simultaneously within the same enclosure.

To unlock the full performance of PCIe 4.0 speeds, the CP121 uses 4 x SlimSAS 8i (SFF-8654) connectors to support all 8 x NVMe solid-state drives with transfer speeds of up to 64Gbps per drive.

The heavy-duty full metal construction can withstand the harshest environments and offers ample heat dissipation. In addition, the user-replaceable dual 40mm cooling fans along with more than 100 ventilation holes throughout the enclosure provide the maximum cooling performance to keep the E1.S or M.2 NVMe SSD within optimal temperature ranges. Moreover, the dual cooling fans come with a fan on/off switch that allows users to turn off the fan when needed.

Considering M.2 NVMe SSD and E1.S SSD are notorious for generating high temperatures, the drives must be maintained under operating temperatures at all times to prevent degradation of performance. Therefore, we made each drive tray acts as an extra-large high-efficiency aluminum heatsink and includes a thermal pad for best heat dissipation and cooling performance.

The LED status indicators are built into the tray to provide drive status where it can be easily seen at a glance - a solid green light indicates a drive is inserted and has power; a flashing green light indicates the drive is in use. The LED and fan will shut off when no drive is inserted to reduce power consumption.
